My Story

FilatoCo came out of a need to destress and find mental peace within myself. 

Raised by parents who were trained in tailoring, I learned to sew & crochet as a young girl. So when I retired from teaching, I began sewing and crocheting more. I started crocheting scarves as gifts and then one piece led to another.  Before I knew it, I was hooked! 

Working with my hands comes naturally to me, I find it to be relaxing and meditative. What joy it brings me to pick out yarn/ fabric and design/create beautiful bags for people!
